Oh, the fun you can have with water, mud, boys, salt and a little cooking oil!! :-)
It has been raining like crazy the last few days and the land below us is flooded. It sure is fun!!
We made salt paint in anticipation of the "salt water" when we get to the beach!

In case you ever wondered a Sea Cucumber can tense up and blow it's internal organs out it's anus!! We found that rather amusing!!
Ocean in a bottle. This is where the cooking oil comes in from my first sentence. These are so neat!!!!
We made little one's too with sea creatures and glitter inside, but the big one is much cooler!
Our sunflowers are coming up and we are so excited!!
We did all this and much more in 2 days! We are having fun studying about the ocean and looking forward to seeing it in a few days!!

we just learned that about sea cucumbers a month or so back. Also that this one kind of fish takes up residence in there too and eats the internal organs of the sea cucumber, then eventually moves out and the organs grow back. Ew. Gorgeous pictures, as usual!
Okay, that sea cucumber thing is disturbing...I've got an image and I haven't eaten breakfast yet...not sure I can now :) What am I saying...I can always eat! Great pics and I admire you for letting them bring a pool float into the bathtub. Lots of learning and fun...just what homeschool is all about.
Thanks for the sweet comments. The funny thing is that Cameron believes that his school is over, he doesn't even realize we "are" still doing school! It is so much fun this way, but more work on my part than using lessons that are already planned out.

The water they are in looks like a small pond! Can you believe all this rain? Before we are going to have to bring out the life jackets and boats!
That is really nasty about the sea cucumber! Eww! Pretty disturbing if you sit and really think about it! Yuck..
Anyway looks like you have had a blast!
