Thankful Thursday!

Ok, I'll admit I wasn't
so thankful for this at
first, but I was after a
little while. I think this
moment changed my
thinking as a parent. Let
them have fun! Even if
they are covered head to
toe in mud!
I am thankful for a
husband who works long
hours to provide for us!

I am thankful for
toothless grins...

I am thankful for the
unconditional love of
my sweet, precious boys!

I am thankful for a toddler who ask "why?" in the sweetest voice imaginable & who pretends to have boo, boos and then laughs hysterically because he fooled you!

I am thankful for a 6 yr old who amazes me everyday with his awesome brotherly skills, and is so blessed by God with talents at such a young age.

And, I am thankful for a husband who has loved me for over 10 years, been a friend to me and has sacrificiously provided a way for me to be at home with our children and homeschool them! Thank-you so much!

I stand amazed at how the Lord has blessed me. He has far exceeded any plan I have had for myself. Following His perfect plan for my life is my heart's desire. I would not want to be anywhere else! Thankful Jesus for all your bountiful blessings, I truly am thankful.

Terrific Tuesday

Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, Who only does wondrous things! Psalm72:18

God "only" does wondrous things. Let that just sink in a bit.

beautiful world to enjoy-wondrous
loving husband -wondrous
precious children-wondrous
family to love, friends to cherish, home to live, laugh, and love in- yep you guessed it, wondrous!

Blessings unfold before us daily, lets unwrap them and let them make our heart glad!

Thank you so much heavenly Father for so many wondrous things to enjoy! I want to be in awe of your creation, whether it be a bird singing or a precious child calling my name. Thank you so much!

Cam, 6 yrs old. Ry, 21 months old. Posing for a quick picture by an old barn across the road. Don't they look like they love each other so much! They really do, they just forget sometimes. :-)

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for you, firefly # 2! You have been such a blessing and comfort since the day you were born(almost 2 years ago). The Heavenly Father knew I would need you, so He sent me a surprise, not a mistake, a surprise. My dear sweet daddy unexpectedly left this earth 2 weeks before you were born. God knew I needed you to bring me comfort. You are so much like him. Your golden brown, reddish hair, sparkling blue eyes, all reminders of him. Your personality is so much like my dear daddy's. Calm, but tough...laid back but full of energy...kind & gentle in tough kind of way! I love you so dearly...so completely. You bring sunshine to gray cloudy days and a happiness that makes tears go away. God knew what He was doing when He sent you, my precious baby to our family.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways

my ways," declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than

the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my

thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8&9

Praise be to God for his bountiful blessings in times of great need!

Celebrating July 4th

Firework Time!

Cam watching fireworks. He is standing still in this picture, but most of the time he was jumping around with excitement!

Ry watching fireworks with Grandma. He was a little scared and decided he would rather watch them in the van with Papa.

We all had a great time watching fireworks with family. The older kids loved every moment, but Ry was a little unsure. After the fireworks, we lit up the sparklers!

Our Daily Bread

None of us know what today holds, all that we know is that our Heavenly Father holds today. Today could be a day where everything falls into place and we joyfully go about our day. Or today could be a day where trials await us at every turn. In Matthew 6:11 it says "Give us today our daily bread...." I take that to mean that He will give us just enough of Him to make it through the day. We get what we need for the day. Just like in Exodus 16 they got enough manna for one day. He doesn't give us an overflow that last us for weeks, he wants us to come back everyday and ask for our daily bread. He knows we need time with Him each and every day. I don't know about you, but I sometimes struggle with reading my Bible and praying like I should. I, more than anything, desire to be the woman God wants me to be. I want to overflow with the fruits of the spirit whether I am having an easy day or a day full of trials.

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Isaiah 55:12
