I Love it when...

Firefly # 1,

I love it when you you help out with your little brother. You treat him so kindly, you love to brush his hair, dress him for the day and crawl around the house with him chasing you. My heart is so full of happiness just watching you two interact.

I love the way you are so quick to forgive and rarely get in a bad mood.

I love to hear you sing at Church, in the car or where ever we happen to be. I just read this to you and you told me to " put an exciting mark" !

I love the way you are so thankful ( most of the time ) for your little brother! Many times you have said "isn't he so cute, aren't you glad we have a baby!" "Can I touch his fuzzy hair?" (:-)

I love how innocent you are.

I love how you can watch a new Veggie Tales movie (over and over) about temptation and totally miss the message of not watching too much TV. I have tried to explain it to you and you just say " But I love this movie."

You are a blessing to me everyday, every second!

A simple life is calling my name. I hear it calling in the sweet restful shade of an old tree, the laughter of friends and in the relief a cool breeze brings on a hot summer day. Who ever said more is better? I find such contentment and just plain joy in less. I love the way the Lord just pours out his blessings on us when we take the time to wait and trust in Him. I believe He is leading me into a simple life of living, loving and learning, to bring about His best for me. I am amazed at how a warm gooey home baked cookie can light up the eyes of a child more than any cartoon covered pack of fruit snacks can. How a delightful book read to a precious child not only entertains them for the moment, but for days to come. How a day of playing with childhood friends can be way more fun than an action packed day at a theme park. Who would have thought that everything we need to be happy is all around us. Tents made from sheets strung over chairs, mud puddles, hot chocolate on cold snowy days, laughter and smiles when you need it most. Simple living, simply loving!

What a day!

Do you ever just have one of those days, that are just wonderful ( from start to finish)? Well today was one of those days for me. My precious little fireflies spent the night with Grandma, this was the first night away from home for firefly #2. So needless to say, my day started out nice and calm. I spent the day with my best friend, we laughed, ate, cleaned and had some good ole "girl time". Later on I got to cuddle with my precious fireflies as they drifted off to sleep. I thank God for the people he has placed in my life. For Grandparents who will watch grandbabies to give some much need rest to their parents and for best friends who welcome you even when their house is not in tip top shape.

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Isaiah 55:12
